"Sometime in early 2023, with forced retirement looming in the horizon, I pondered on what to do next? There was a lot of studies in the pipeline, I had nurtured a small talented cadre of research people as co-investigators, study coordinators, nurses, med techs, IT people support research staff and what would happen if I suddenly retired? More importantly there were excellent studies on new diagnostics, preventive treatment and Tb vaccines. Likewise, we had also grown a growing number of communities and patients who trusted us implicitly. Thus was Care Clinical Trials Group was born , by cobbling together our more than 20 year GCP expertise and experience we aimed to turn the whole clinical trials scenario in the country upside down. We deliberately chose a world-class setting where potential subjects were feted and celebrated, treated with the care they truly deserved. Thus CareCT was born and the response has been short of overwhelming. We did not expect ll our collaborators, sponsors and CRO partners to embrace CareCT. We had to start carefully, we designed our clinical headquarters very thoughtfully as a home and a nurturing environment featuring anything from a massage chair to karaoke to entertain our patients. We have hosted a parade of visitors here and abroad who have left telling us that the CareCT is a good model and template for others. We are nurturing our people to do advance training in various aspects of research, we will slowly build CareCT to help in doing cutting edge research in the country and the world."
